Walk With Sally – White Light White Night

Nothing Bundt Cakes was at the event

Last Saturday night I strolled onto the Manhattan Beach Studios to support a Los Angeles based charity – Walk With Sally. Everyone invited was dressed in all white.

Here are the highlights of the evening – The event featured over 20 upscale restaurants, a silent and live auction, specialty cocktails and a performance from the Big Bad Vodoo Daddy:

* Stella Artois gave each guest a keepsake chalis with a purple velvet carrying bag.

* Circa served delicious halibut tiraditos – a Peruvian variation on ceviche, consists of citrus juices accenting raw halibut sliced paper-thin, like carpaccio.

* Rock n’ Fish served the best crab cakes in town.

* Celebrity mixologist Joel Black mixed up some amazing Picso Porton cocktails in cool blinking colored tumblers.

* Lido di Manhattan made a wonderful pasta with vodka sauce and meatballs

* Nothing Bundt Cakes served delicious desserts

* Silvio’s Brazilian BBQ gave everyone a wonderful BBQ chicken on Brazilian rice plate.

* There were many Patron Tequila bars mixing fresh cocktail for guests. They also gave away Patron popsicles. I liked the salted caramel.

* Towards the end of the evening was a live performance by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy

Thousands of dollars were raised for Walk With Sally, a charity dedicated to providing healing and comfort to children debilitated by the emotional experience of living with or losing a parent or sibling to cancer.

NFL star Matt Leinart was also in attendance as he sipped Porton cocktails and shared cancer stories with guests. Founder Nick Arquette was extremely happy with the events’ success and shared his tear-bearing cancer story to the audience as he asked for a moment of silence to send out healing white light visions to all those who are currently suffering.

Walk With Sally is committed to providing healing and comfort to children debilitated by the emotional experience of living with or losing a parent or sibling to cancer. This healing is facilitated through free of charge mentoring support programs and services that provide an emotionally safe environment for children to share their difficult experience with cancer.
